Mr. Man is 2!

It just seems like yesterday when I used to rock Mr. Man four in the morning and Kate and me were so sleep deprived that we couldn’t see or think straight. It also seems like yesterday when I could hold him in the palms of my hands. Unbelievably, he is now almost 30 lbs and is all about excavators, fire engines, dump trucks, and Thomas the Trains. In fact, when he sees any yellow construction equipment when we are out and about, he screams out “EXCAVATOR!”

This Saturday he had all of his favorite people over for his b-day party, including my family, Kate’s family, and of course honorary family member auntie Harp from NYC. Here are some of the beautiful people–I am little bias towards the handsome guy with his father-in-law.

And they brought with them all things engine and wheels. Here are some of Mr. Man’s spoils:
As usual Kate did her thing and was the gracious host, getting all things ready to throw a great party, which included an Ina Garten birthday cake with homemade frosting, Taharka Brothers ice cream, and those addictive, yummy lemon squares.
It was awesome having everyone over and I think Mr. Man would agree that it was one of his best b-day parties ever.
